Up-and-coming conductor Tatsuya Shimono will appear in the 3rd performance of "Sumida Classical Music Concert". As Shimono always puts together a stimulating program, this concert is also lined with works that have a mysterious connection.
"Prelude" and "Evening Prayer - Pantomime" from Humperding's opera "Hansel and Gretel", which is often performed in Germany during the Christmas season, are placed before and after Hindemith's "The Man Who Burns the Swan" (viola). Soloist Tomomi Shinozaki) and R. Strauss's "Metamorphosen", who conducted the premiere of "Hansel and Gretel". "Shiratori~" is a composition without violin and viola. Also, "Metamorphosen" has only 23 stringed instruments. “I first conducted the New Japan Philharmonic in 2005, and it felt like driving a wonderfully responsive sports car. Enjoy the wonder of the combination.
