Born in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo College of Music. Joined in 2001. Currently the Chief timpani player of the New Japan Philharmonic. Part-time lecturer at Shobi Music College.
Since 2012, he has participated in the Chamber Orchestra Sagamihara as a timpani player. Participated in the 2017 Affinis Summer Music Festival and studied with Matthias Müller, Chief Timpanist of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
In addition to studying percussion and timpani with Tsutomu Noguchi, Jun Sugawara, Mariko Okada, Taijiro Miyazaki, Shoichi Kubo, Takafumi Fujimoto, and Kumi Sakashita, he also received several lessons from Kurt Hans Gödike.
