Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music.
Won third place in the tuba category at the 5th Philip Jones International Competition (France). Won second place in the tuba category at the 43rd Markneukirchen International Competition (Germany). Held a solo recital at the Tokyo Opera City Recital Series "B→C". Released "Eternal" from fontec, "60 Exercises from Coplash" and "Collection of Tuba Pieces" from B-Music. Studied tuba under both Eiichi Inagawa and Yoshinori Kashiwada.
Currently, he is Chief tuba player New Japan Philharmonic, a member of Midtown Brass Japan, Zoorasian Brass, and Japan Tuba Soloists. He is also a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts, Kunitachi College of Music, Kurashiki Sakuyo University, and Heisei College of Music. He is also the chairman of the Japan Euphonium Tuba Association.
