Born in Tokyo. Started playing piano at age 5 and flute at age 7. Studied under Mr. Morimasa at Toho Women's High School Music Department and Toho Gakuen University Diploma Course.
From 1990 to 1991, he studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as an overseas trainee of the Affinis Cultural Foundation, studying under Wolfgang Schultz and Hansgeorg Schmeiser.
第53回日本音楽コンクール第3位（1位なし）。第2回日本フルートフルートコンヴェンションコンクール第2位。第3回日本管打楽器コンクール第1位。
現在、新日本フィル フルート奏者。
