Born in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Started playing the flute at the age of 10. Studied at Fukuoka Prefectural Kokura High School and Toho Gakuen University Music Department. Studied the flute under Soichi Minegishi, Yoko Kikuchi, and Taku Eda. Joined the New Japan Philharmonic while in college. Active as a solo piccolo and flute player to the present.
He has also performed concertos with the New Japan Philharmonic, premiered new works, performed chamber music, and performed solo. He has also participated in the Saito Kinen Orchestra, Super World Orchestra, Japan Virtuoso Symphony Orchestra, and others.
In addition to being a judge at the All Japan Wind Band Contest and the All Japan Ensemble Contest, he is active in a wide range of activities, including conducting and teaching orchestras and wind bands, and giving lectures. As a supervised book, there is "Flute improvement lesson 50 points to improve technique and expressive power" (Meitsu Publishing).
