Born in Kagoshima. After studying at Kagoshima Gyokuryu High School and the Faculty of Education at Mie University, graduated from the Graduate School of Aichi Chief of the Arts.
読売音楽新人賞を受賞。三重県器楽コンクール第1位。
1997年新日本フィル入団。「愛のあいさつ」、「アヴェ・マリア」、「ヴィオラが奏でる日本の歌」などのCDをリリース。新日本フィルをはじめ様々なオーケストラとソリストとして共演。吉鶴洋一ドキュメンタリー番組「音楽の贈り物」、「夢を楽器にのせて」が全国のケーブルテレビで放送。
He has been in charge of concerts in Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture and Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture for over 15 years, and has been in charge of all music for the International Rotary Club District 2630 Convention, all of which have led to success. Not only classical music, but also many collaboration concerts with Hawaiian, Japanese music, rakugo, magic, etc.
日本演奏家連盟、日本音楽教育学会、すみだ交流交通地域活性化協議会（すみここち）各会員。岐阜県中津川市観光大使。都立青山高校、淡交フィル（両国高校OBオケ）の指導も行っている。墨田区在住。
毎月「両国レガート」で新日本フィルの仲間とコンサートを開催している。
