Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music. In 1992, he won first prize in the bassoon division of the 9th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. In 1994, he joined the New Japan Philharmonic as Deputy chief. Since then, he has appeared as a soloist with the troupe.
Chief bassoonist of the New Japan Philharmonic since 2009. Currently, Kunitachi College of Music, Conservatoire Shobi Diploma Lecturer, also teaches younger generations.
