Orchestra Caravan (8/3 Mima performance, 8/4 Kanonji performance) Notice of change of performers

Regarding Mr. Michiyoshi Inoue (conductor), who was scheduled to perform in the orchestra caravan to be held in Mima City, Tokushima Prefecture on Thursday, August 3, 2023 and in Kanonji City, Kagawa Prefecture on Friday, August 4, 2023, he was diagnosed with calculi-related pyelonephritis. Due to the doctor's diagnosis that treatment is necessary for the time being, I was forced to withdraw from all performances until the beginning of August, including this performance.

Therefore, the conductor will be changed to Mr. Kazuyoshi Akiyama. We sincerely apologize to the customers who have been looking forward to Mr. Michiyoshi Inoue 's appearance. We appreciate your understanding.

Conductor: Kazuyoshi Akiyama

Born in 1941. After studying conducting under Hideo Saito, he graduated from Toho Gakuen University in 1963. The following year, he conducted the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and after his debut, he served as the orchestra's Music Director and resident conductor for 40 years. During that time, he served as Music Director, Music Director (currently Conductor Laureate), and Music Director. NY Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Cologne Symphony, Suisse Romande
He has performed as a guest performer in world-class orchestras.
He has received the Suntory Music Award, the Minister of Education Award for Art Encouragement, the Osaka Art Award, the Mainichi Art Award, and the Kawasaki City Cultural Award. Received the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2001 and the Order of the Rising Sun in 2011.
Selected as a Person of Cultural Merit in 2014.
In addition to serving as artistic director and Chief conductor of the Chubu Philharmonic Orchestra, Music Advisor of the Century Symphony Orchestra, Music Advisor of the Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra, Conductor Laureate of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Honorary Conductor of the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, and Conductor Laureate of the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, he has also served at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music. Artistic director, special professor, and visiting professor at Kyoto City University of Arts.
