Eri Takahashi, soprano

Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music. Graduated from the same university. Completed the 50th class of the Nikikai Opera Training Institute with the Excellence Award and Encouragement Award. Completed the 10th class of the New National Theater Opera Training Institute. Received 3rd prize at the 47th Japan-Italy Vocal Concorso, 3rd prize at the 6th Shizuoka International Opera Competition, and Audience Award. Studied abroad in Bologna after receiving the Gotoh Memorial Cultural Award Opera Newcomer Award. In 2012, he made his Nikikai debut with "Clown" Nedda, and attracted attention with his performance that was far from a newcomer. In recent years, he has shown a prominent presence in the 2018 Nissay Theater “Cosi fan tutte” Fiordiligi, and the 2019 Nikikai “Erodiado” Salome. In concerts, he has received high acclaim for his "Requiem" (Mozart, Verdi), Mahler's "Symphony No. 4" and "Symphony for a Thousand", etc. In 2018, he performed at the New Japan Philharmonic under James Judd. He was well received in Rossini's Stabat Mater. In the future, in addition to the "Goto Memorial Cultural Award Opera Rookie Award Training Presentation Recital" at Kioi Hall on July 15, Michaela will appear in the grand opera co-production "Carmen".
