After graduating from the Faculty of Economics, Nagasaki University, studied at Tokyo University of the Arts and Maastricht Conservatory in the Netherlands. Studied the horn under E. Penzel, W. Saunders, Kozo Moriyama, the late Makoto Yamada, and the late Yasunori Tahara.
After joining the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra in 2000, he successively served as horn player for the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra.

His performance activities include chamber music and orchestra, collaboration between music and art, and ambitious outreach activities at hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. He also holds recitals and master classes in Japan and overseas. He has also participated in the Kirishima International Music Festival and the Kiso Music Festival.

Associate professor at Tokyo University of the Arts since 2013. Lecturer at Kunitachi College of Music, Visiting Professor at Nagoya College of Music, Lecturer at Soai University, and Chief Guest Performer of the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra.
A member of THE HORN QUARTET of the horn ensemble "Tsunobue Group". Executive Director of the Japan Horn Association.
