Born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1975, he entered the Paris Conservatoire and studied with Jacques Rouvier. He graduated with Chief honors, excelling in piano and chamber music. He has collaborated with world-renowned musicians such as Gitlis, Rostropovich, and the Capuçon brothers, Renaud and Gaultier, and has also repeatedly performed with Teiko Maebashi in Japan. As a conductor, he studied with Kurt Masur and has guest conducted orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Prague Philharmonic, Moscow City Symphony Orchestra, Russian State Symphony Orchestra, and Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2017 and 2019, he conducted the Ukrainian National Philharmonic Orchestra's tour of Japan, receiving widespread acclaim. He currently serves as Music Director of the Royal Belgian Chamber Orchestra and Chief conductor of the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra in China. In Japan, he has made guest appearances with orchestras such as the NHK Symphony Orchestra, the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, and the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, receiving high praise from all of them.
