Born in Nagano prefecture. Entered Tokyo University of the Arts in 1991. In the same year, he won the 8th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. In 1993, he performed at the "Emerging Musician Debut Concert" sponsored by the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1995 with the Ataka Prize.
Joined the New Japan Philharmonic in 1996 after working with the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1997, he won first place in the 14th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, as well as the Minister of Education Award and the Governor of Tokyo Award.
現在、新日本フィル トロンボーン奏者、エマーノンブラスクインテット、ローブラスカルテット『bottom’s bells』各メンバー。
