Born in Shizuoka prefecture. Studied under Masamasa Soken at Kunitachi College of Music. He started playing with the Tokyo Brass Ensemble, which he presided over, and joined the New Japan Philharmonic while studying at the same university. In 1993, he studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as an overseas trainee of the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
In 1987, he formed the trumpet ensemble Trumpet 5 with Naohiro Tsuken. In 1989, he was invited to perform at the ITG (International Trumpet Guild) in the United States and in Thailand in 2006. In 1993, he studied abroad in Vienna as an overseas trainee of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Studied under Professor Adolf Holler of the Vienna Philharmonic at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He has released CDs for Trumpet 5 and Tokyo Trumpet Core.
