In October 2021, he won 4th place at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition.

He is currently attracting attention as a young Japanese pianist who is expected to have a global career. In March 2022, he received the 31st Idemitsu Music Award.

He started playing the piano at the age of three, performed with an orchestra at the age of seven, and made his international debut at the age of nine. Since 2005 (at the age of nine), he has performed four times at Carnegie Hall in New York, and has been invited to Paris, Moscow, Poland, Brazil, and other places, performing with the Moscow Virtuoso under Spivakov, the Orchestra of the 18th Century under Brüggen, and the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra under Judd. He has been invited to Poland many times as a concerto soloist, including at the "Chopin and Europe" International Music Festival.
He has performed with many orchestras in Japan and given recitals in various locations, including Suntory Hall, receiving high praise.
In 2010, to mark the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth, he was awarded a "Chopin Passport" by the Polish government.
In October 2015 (at the age of 20), he participated in the 17th International Chopin Piano Competition and became a finalist.
In July 2017, he was welcomed as a soloist by the Moscow Philharmonic on their tour of Japan, performing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2.
In August 2018, he performed at the La Roque d'Anthéron International Piano Music Festival and received rave reviews.
In March 2020, he performed Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich to great acclaim.

He made his major CD debut in 2010 (at the age of 14) with "Debut!", and released his second album "Netsujou" the following year (EMI CLASSICS).
In 2018, he signed an international contract with Warner Classics, and in April of the same year, he released his first CD in seven years, "New Stage - Playing Liszt & Chopin."
On August 25, 2021, his latest CD, "Chopin: Preludes and More," was released by Warner Classics. It was selected as a "Special Selection" by Record Geijutsu magazine.

From an early age, she attracted the attention of many media outlets and appeared on many TV and radio programs, including a documentary on France's LCI TV, NTV's "Late Night Concert," TV Asahi's "Untitled Concert," NHK-BS's "Everyone's Chopin," and NHK-BS Premium's "Classic Club." In 2015, she also made a splash with her appearance on MBS's "Jonetsu Tairiku."

Born in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1995. She began studying under Yuko Ninomiya at the age of eight, and entered the Toho Gakuen School of Music on a full scholarship in 2011. In 2013, she studied abroad at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where she studied under Professor Manchae Liu.
