The Kashiwa Boys and Girls Choir was formed in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture in 1987 and has been active for 35 years. Currently, the 45-member choir is led by Mari Ayukawa and conducts local cultural activities with the motto "cheerful, friendly and fun." In addition, they hold regular concerts, participate in the Asahi Shimbun "Children's Chorus Festival" national convention, and appear on various TV programs. In addition, he has received high acclaim for overseas concert trips to Utah in the United States and Beijing and Changsha in China.
In 2018, Hiroro Kato and his fellow musicians called on Nagareyama City, which is adjacent to Kashiwa City and has been attracting attention as a "town for raising children," to form the Nagareyama Boys' Choir with the aim of creating a "singing voice that resonates with the world." Currently, about 20 members are working to contribute to the improvement of youth culture in the community and society at large.
