Christian Tetzlaff is one of the most sought after violinists in the classical music world, and his work is always exciting. He has a wide repertoire and is well versed in classical, romantic and contemporary repertoire. He has set new standards with his interpretations of concertos by Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Berg, and Ligeti, and has received acclaim for his innovative chamber music projects and solo performances of Bach's works.
He has been an artist-in-residence at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Berliner Philharmoniker, Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, and Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.
He has won numerous awards for his recordings of the Bartók Concerto and the Beethoven and Sibelius Violin Concertos.
In chamber music, he formed the Tetzlaff Quartet in 1994, and is also active in a trio with his sister Tanya Tetzlaff and pianist Lars Vogt.
