Tetsuro Saka has also performed as a guest in Europe and the United States, and has been successfully invited to about 40 orchestras and opera houses, mainly in Germany and Austria. In Japan, he has conducted major orchestras, the New National Theatre, Tokyo, and opera groups such as Nikikai.
So far, he has been the exclusive conductor of the Biel City Opera, the first exclusive conductor of the Brandenburg Opera, the exclusive conductor of the Berlin Komische Oper, the general music director of the Eisenach Opera, the Principal Guest Conductor the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, and the general music of the Regensburg Opera House. Served as director. Currently, Yamagata Symphony Orchestra Permanent Conductor.
At the end of the year 2008/09, he made headlines at the Wiener Volksoper, conducting one of the highlights of the year, The Bat, at the theatre.
Born in Kyoto City. Studied under Ryohei Hirose and others at Kyoto City University of Arts, majoring in composition. After graduating, he studied under K. Osterreicher, L. Hager, and Yuji Yuasa at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
He is also focusing on teaching younger students, such as by giving public lectures at Yamagata University and being invited as a specially invited professor from Tokyo University of the Arts.
Winner of the 44th Besancon International Conductor Competition.
Received the Kyoto Prefectural Cultural Award Encouragement Award, ABC International Music Award, Kyoto City Art Newcomer Award, 2nd Hotel Okura Music Award, 12th Akio Watanabe Music Foundation Music Award, and 26th Kenichiro Todo Music Award.
