ZOORASIAN BRASS

profile

Starting with the conductor Okapi, the brass quintet "Zoorasian Brass" is all performed by rare animals. It was born in 2000 and celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. Including overseas performances, we perform more than 150 concerts a year all over the country, and also release a large number of CDs. In 2010, we won the Yokohama Tourism Convention Special Achievement Award, and in 2011, we won the Grand Prize (Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award) at the Kids Design Award. Please enjoy the world of colorful music played by animals.

・Conductor: Okapi
・Trumpet: Indian Lion Douclangur
・Horn: Malayan tapir
・Trombone: Sumatran Tiger
・Tuba: Polar bear
・Percussion: Doll

Okapi, who is a serious and steady person, decided a long time ago to live with his favorite music. Together with the polar bear, who felt that there was a limit to his performance in the Arctic, he traveled around the world to find a solitary trumpeter Indian lion and a frivolous Sumatran tiger and invite them to join the group. Hearing the rumors, Dukrangur invites the sleeping Malayan Tapir to meet Okapi. That's how the brass quintet Zoorasian Brass was formed. This time, the dolls of traveling entertainers will join in and make it lively.
