Graduated from the Department of Instrumental Music, Faculty of Music, Tokyo College of Music. While attending school, he studied trumpet with Mr. Yukio Kanaishi, harmony with Mr. Shinichiro Ikebe and Mr. Shigeaki Saegusa, and composition and drinking with Mr. Misogi Hosoya.
In addition to serving as Music Director of Akina Nakamori Concerts for seven years since 1982, he has also been a regular staff member of many music programs, including NHK Let's Go Young, That's Music, Seishun no Pops, and Kouhaku Uta Gassen. Among them, the theme of ``Oedo degozaru'' was well received, along with the program's popularity and content. In the video field, he has been making films with Kazuyuki Izutsu for over 20 years.
A big name as Music Director, including the Nana Mizuki concert that attracted 28,000 people in January 2019, the Hiroshi Itsuki National Theater concert, the big band concert with ASKA, and the orchestral recordings of Akira Fuse, Machiko Watanabe, and Norimasa Fujisawa. We have a lot of trust from our customers.
From 2002 to 2013, he served as Music Director of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra and Pops Orchestra, and in January 2014, he became music advisor of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra. Regular pop performances and family concerts with orchestras from all over Japan are underway.
