She graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed her master's degree in music at the same university's graduate school. After that, she studied at the Bologna National Conservatory (Italy). She has performed in Monteverdi's "Ulysses' Return to the Homeland" in various parts of Italy, and in 2007, for the 400th anniversary of the premiere of Monteverdi's "Orfeo," she performed with a group including world-renowned viola da gamba player J. Savall at the Edinburgh Festival and other venues. In Japan, she has appeared in operas at the New National Theatre and Nikikai Opera Foundation, and has performed with numerous orchestras, including the New Japan Philharmonic. She has gained international acclaim, particularly for her repertoire of Baroque and Classical music, and has participated in CD recordings, concerts, and tours in Europe and the United States with Bach Collegium Japan, led by Masaaki Suzuki. In 2017, she contributed to the success of the performance of Bach Collegium Japan's "L'incoronazione di Poppea," conducted by Masato Suzuki, to commemorate the 450th anniversary of Monteverdi's birth. She won the Grand Prize in the Siena division of the 27th Italian Vocal Competition. Second prize (highest prize in vocal category) at the Bruges International Early Music Competition.
