Leader of the rock band THE ALFEE.
He is responsible for songwriting, electric guitar, and vocals. He formed the band ALFEE in 1973 with Ken Sakurai and Konosuke Sakazaki. They debuted in 1974 with the single "Natsu Shigure." From "Merry Ann" in 1983 to their latest single "HEART OF RAINBOW" released in July 2025, THE ALFEE have had 59 consecutive albums reach the top 10 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. The band will embark on a nationwide tour starting in April, and will celebrate their 3,000th paid solo performance on April 17th, Takamizawa's birthday. Takamizawa is also an active novelist, currently serializing his fourth full-length novel, "Immortal Brain," in Bungeishunju's All Readers magazine.
