After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts Chief, he attended graduate school at Toho Gakuen School of Music and is currently enrolled in the Soloist Diploma course at the same university. He has studied under Takashi Shimizu and Boris Kushnir.
At the Japan Musicians Competition, he won first place, as well as the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award and the Mainichi Newspaper Award. At the 93rd Japan Music Competition, he won first place, as well as the Leucadia Award, the Sumi Award and the INPEX Award.
Overseas, he has won first prize at the International Beethoven Competition, second prize (highest ranking) at the Rodolfo Lipitzer Prize International Competition, and several special awards, as well as first prizes at the Tadeusz Wronski International Solo Violin Competition, the Josef Meisöder International Violin Competition, and the Yuri Yankelevich International Violin Competition.
He has performed with numerous orchestras both in Japan and abroad, and will be performing with Martha Argerich at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival.
