A Greek conductor and pianist, he won first prize at the Tokyo International Conductors' Competition 2024. He has previously served as Conductor-in-Residence with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, as well as Assistant Conductor with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. He regularly performs with Teatre Real (Madrid), conducting "The Magic Flute," "Nixon in China," and "Eugene Onegin."
A graduate of the Sibelius Academy, he has performed with major orchestras such as the Russian National Orchestra, the Lahti Symphony Orchestra and the Staatskapelle Weimar, and has conducted all of Greece's major orchestras. In 2016, he founded the Koufonisia Classical Music Festival. Outside of music, he is also an active aviator.
