“New Wind” Masterpiece Concert” and “Zoorasian Brass VS New Japan Philharmonic” to be held in July 2024

“New Wind” Masterpiece Concert

“New Wind Masterpiece Concert vol.1” will be held at Sumida Triphony Hall on Saturday, July 20, 2024. An introductory classical music concert that discovers and introduces rising stars in the classical world and delivers them along with famous songs. In response to the favorable reception of the "Naoto Otomo & New Japan Philharmonic 'New Wind' Masterpiece Concert (Piano: Tomoya Nakase)" held in October 2023, it has been decided to make it into a series.
Series vol.1 will feature Takeshi Oi as the conductor and Kazusa Sagawa, winner of the 21st Tokyo Music Competition piano section, as soloist. Sagawa, who completed the master's program at Tokyo College of Music and its graduate school at the Chief of his class, has won numerous awards since his studies, and continues to perform with many orchestras in Japan. The song he will be performing is Ravel's Piano Concerto. How will the young Toshihide tackle Ravel's late masterpieces, which incorporate various elements such as jazz? Please look forward to our performance with New Japan Philharmonic following the Tokyo Music Competition winner's concert in January this year.

  • Bizet: "Les Les Arles" Suite 1 and 2
  • Ravel: Piano Concerto in G major
  • Ravel: "Bolero"
