Mr. Hidehiko Fukuda, a former trombonist and founding steering committee chairman who participated in the establishment of the New Japan Philharmonic in 1972 and was instrumental in the founding of the New Japan Philharmonic, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on October 31, 2023. He was hospitalized and discharged from the hospital for three years due to a cerebral infarction and was recuperating at a facility at the age of 97.
