◎ Yutaka Sado appointed as the 5th Music Director!

As the New Japan Philharmonic Music Advisor and Sumida Music Ambassador, Yutaka Sado, who is deepening his ties with Sumida Ward as well as creating sounds with the New Japan Philharmonic, will start full-scale as the 5th Music Director. Through music activities with educational institutions and residents, Sumida is a city of music.

◎The theme is the Wien Line – fully bringing out the charm of the New Japan Philharmonic, with its vivid tones and flexibility

Sado's theme for the future is the "Vienna Line." With composers who were active in the city of Vienna from Haydn to the era of Mahler and R. Strauss at the center of the repertoire, it is an attractive line-up that also derives contemporary music from the United States, Russia, France, and Toru Takemitsu.

◎ The world's leading conductors and soloists appear. Enchanting with a splendid co-star.

Both series will open with Yutaka Sado and pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, and in addition to luxurious conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Joe Hisaishi, and Toshiyuki Kamioka, Japan's leading guitarist Kaori Muraji and French pianist Anne Queffélec is full of spirit. Gorgeous soloists such as will perform famous performances. In addition, young artists such as last year's Tokyo International Music Competition (Conducting) winner José Soares, Carl Nielsen International Music Competition winner Yuhan Dahlene, divine singing voice countertenor Daichi Fujiki, and world-famous genius violinist HIMARI. We have high expectations for their success.
