Started playing the violin at the age of three and the piano at the age of seven. After meeting Ondes Martenot, who had an excellent ability to express himself, he graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Economics, moved to France, graduated at the top of his class from the Ondes Martenot department at the Conservatoire de Paris, and became Chief of Ondes Martenot. He began his career as a soloist, one of the few people in the world to use the Martenot as a solo instrument. Studied piano with Keiko Toyama and ondes Martenot with Ms. Jeanne Loriot. As a composer, he has demonstrated his talent in a wide range of fields, from orchestral works to solo pieces, as well as numerous movies and animations. He has received numerous awards including the Idemitsu Music Award, Yokohama Cultural Encouragement Award, and Music Pen Club Award. In addition, the Turangalila Symphony, composed by Olivier Messiaen, one of the leading French composers of the 20th century, is a piece in which Ondes Martenot plays the leading role, and has performed not only in Japan, but also as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, and the Champs-Elysées. He has performed with the world's best orchestras more than 330 times in 20 countries at major theaters such as the Paris Opera House and La Scala Theater in Milan.
