In 2009, at the age of 16, he became the youngest person in history to win the Hannover International Competition, which is said to be the world's most difficult competition. He has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, NDR Elbphil, Hannover NDR Philharmonic, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, and others. Conductors with whom he has collaborated include Gergiev, Dudamel, Fedoseyev, Zukerman, and Hrusha. He was appointed as the artistic leader of Suntory Hall ARK Classics, which started in October 2018. In the 19/20 season, he performed with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra under Zukermann, the Deutsches Symphony Orchestra Berlin under Ticciati, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra under Rouvari, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra under Orozco-Estrada, the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra under Poga, and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Dausgaard. The CD recording was released by Avex Classics. The violin I use is a Stradivarius 1704 "Viotti" loaned by the Munetsugu Collection.
