New York City Ballet Music Director, Minnesota Symphony Orchestra Summerfest Music Director, Colorado Symphony Orchestra Principal Guest Conductor. He has been Principal Guest Conductor the Singapore Symphony Orchestra since autumn 2017.
He was Music Director Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 1994~2006 and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director 2003~15. With his debut at the Vienna Musikverein and Carnegie Hall, he contributed to the international fame of both orchestras.
In the 2017/18 season, he has performed more than 30 ballets for the New York City Ballet, conducting the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Bergen Philharmonic, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. He has also worked in opera, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera, and the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
He is also a piano virtuoso and is active in solo and chamber music. In 2014, he released a solo album, The Oscar Peterson Tribute.
He studied piano and conducting at the Juilliard School of Music, and was an assistant to the Rostropovich at La Scala in Milan and the National Symphony Orchestra.
