Born in Tokyo in 1902. Famous as a cellist, conductor, and music educator. The school has produced talented students such as Seiji Ozawa, Kazuyoshi Akiyama, and Taijiro Iimori. Since the founding of the New Japan Philharmonic, he has been an advisor and later a Permanent Conductor. Died September 1974.
