Since January 2022, New Japan Philharmonic and NPO Talking have held an event titled "Let's read books and listen to classical music" as a proposal for new classical music appreciation through book clubs.
Overview of the project
Holding book clubs for students and working adults. Read the assignment book in advance, share impressions, discuss, listen to music. Later, I will go to listen to New Japan Philharmonic concert.

Guidance on holding a “book club that opens the door to music”

Holding format: Online or offline
The cost is a reward for the lecturer (facilitator), concert ticket fee, and assignment book purchase fee.
Facilitator: Mr. Kensuke Hiwatari
Born in Ibaraki prefecture in 1986. Graduated from Keio University Faculty of Letters. Representative Director of NPO Talking. A book club that started with a friend in college has continued for 10 years, and from 2021 it will acquire NPO corporate status. Hosts book clubs on a variety of themes, including philosophy. Based on the unique concept of "conceptual thinking", it provides training on how to read books and liberal arts. In addition to continuing research on demographics and super-aging in East Asia, he also works on picture books, music education, and research on prosody in Japanese poetry.
