NJP2024/2025 season Katsuhiko Shibata's noteworthy points!

In #29 (March 14th and 15th), Toshihide Gen Ota will demonstrate his talent. Currently serving as Chief conductor of the Nine Symphony Orchestra, he is an outstanding talent who has made great strides among young people. The wonderful performance of Schubert's "Great", which he suddenly conducted at New Japan Philharmonic in February 2021, is still fresh in my memory. This time, we will first compete with Beethoven's "Fate" Symphony. This is where Ota's musicality becomes clear. In the second half, the talented Alexander Gagev, who won 2nd place at the 2021 Chopin Competition, performed Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1. The piece, which is as profound as a symphony, draws attention to both Ota's architectural ability and Gajev's vivid pianism.
